Mission:  Navy Reserve Defense Institute of International Legal Studies 501 directly supports the DIILS mission, emphasizing the execution of Disciplined Military Operations, by providing legal education and training focused on the Resident Course curriculum, the Rule of Law Program, and participation in Mobile Education Teams whenever and wherever requested.  Unit members employ their unique professional skill sets, grounded in extensive military and civilian experience, and leveraged by responsive flexibility, to assist the supported command in meeting its domestic and international commitments.
